Plan N
Another popular Medicare Supplement plan on the market is the Plan N. While this plan offers a more affordable premium, it also has more out-of-pocket expenses including copayments and deductibles.
With a Plan N, you have up to a $20 copay for each doctor/office visit and, unless admitted, a $50 copay for each emergency room visit. In addition, you would be responsible for any Part B excess charges (above Medicare-approved amounts).
Like Plan G, the Medicare Supplement Plan N does not cover the Part B deductible. You are responsible for the first $240 of Medicare-approved medical charges each calendar year. This is the Medicare Part B deductible as of 2024.
