Plan F is NOT available to anyone NEW to Medicare on or after January 1,2020

To those eligible, Plan F is the most popular Medicare Supplement plan on the market.

With Plan F, you have no coinsurance, no copays and no deductibles.

PLAN F PAYS

  • Medicare Part A deductible

  • Medicare Part A coinsurance and hospital costs (up to an additional 365 days after Medicare benefits are used)

  • Medicare Part A hospice care coinsurance or copayments

  • Skilled nursing facility charge coinsurance

  • First 3 pints of blood

  • Medicare Part B deductible

  • Medicare Part B coinsurance or copayment

  • Medicare Part B excess charge

  • Foreign travel emergency (80% up to plan limits)

  • Medicare Part B coinsurance or copayment ​

  • Nothing for any Medicare-approved services

* No Medicare Supplement plan pays for a skilled nursing home facility beyond 100 days.

Can I Apply for Plan F?

As of January 1, 2020, Plan F is not available to anyone NEW to Medicare.
If your Medicare Part A and/or Part B effective date is prior to 01/01/2020, you are still eligible for Plan F. Those who currently have Plan F may keep it.
